I've got a fever

It's been a long time since I've written a blog but I feel it's my duty as an American to make my voice known. Every day, I read the news and watch television and I consider myself a very informed, level-headed citizen. Since the beginning of the summer, the political world has had one main debate: Health Care. I'm not writing about Health Care, but instead I'm writing about the sickening way Fox News and Conservative Radio have brought this country to its knees.

I'm a big fan of Jon Stewart's The Daily Show, and I haven't been laughing as much lately. Not because Jon Stewart isn't funny, but because the Fox News clips he plays scare the hell out of me. Fox News is the most watched news network in America. That fact literally makes me feel sick, even though something like 88% of viewers vote Republican - a party that is just in shambles right now. For anyone to think their agenda is anything but anti-Obama, anti-liberal, and anti-AMERICA is just ludicrous. It's not hard to find anti-fox news websites(thank God!) that bring to light fox news' hypocrisy, misinformation, fear mongering, and outright lies. For smart, critical thinking people, watching the channel for 5 minutes will make your jaw drop. It's actually fairly easy to see right through their far right leaning rhetoric.

However, most people have very little knowledge in politics and whatever little news they hear, they immediately take as truth. We, as Americans, need to change this. How? Of course talking about it in school, college, at church and social gathering will help. I also believe we all need to become better critical thinkers. But, to really change the American Cancer I call Fox News & Conservative Radio(FNCR), I call upon other news organizations to step up.
It's easy! Allow me to introduce "The Misinformation Minute" Every hour Wolf Blitzer shows a clip from fox news or conservative radio and respected, non-partisan fact checkers tell you why their misrepresenting the truth(as if you need any help.) Imagine if ALL the news networks did this? And Newspapers!? Well let me tell you, Fox News will spiral to its death and Rush Limbaugh won't be able to afford his favorite pharmaceuticals, but America would be a better place.

why are they hurting America? Their misinformation is generating a lot of anger and confusion among Americans. We all know that it’s only the "crazies" that are showing up to these town halls, but you'd be surprised how many average Americans believe every word they hear. Instead of having honest debate about Health Care, we have to deal with these crazies. God bless Barney Frank for finally standing up to one in his recent town hall meeting. Democrats need to take a lesson from him and fight back against this information. After all, this is America and we believe in the TRUTH. Obama and Congress have a lot of problems to deal with. Stop delaying much needed Health Care reform and let's move on to continue fixing the America George W. Bush has hurt so badly in his 8 years.

I also call upon Democrats to stand up in a unified way to protest Fox News' and Conservative Radio's misinformation bonanza. FNCR is the poison that is killing America. I for one will be a part of the medicine that will help this country be all it can be.
